Our first stop on the Backroads of America Video Tour was Sutter Creek, CA. We soon discovered that this charming town, located in the Amador Country Wine Country, was a haven for people that wanted a calmer, simpler life. We stopped in on the Scott Harvey Winery and met Jack Gorman, the General Manager. Jack agreed to let us interview him and he had a great story to share!

Jack had worked in policy development and as a lobbyist in Washington D.C. for 15 years. Towards the end of his time in D.C, Jack felt that the political system had become too broken for him to continue in politics. He no longer believed he was making a difference and decided it was time for a change of life style. His partner asked him what he really wanted to do with his life and after a bit of research, Jack and his partner moved to Sutter Creek.

Three years later, Jack is loving his new job at Scott Harvey. He now knows what it is like to love what he does for a career. Jack told us he wakes up excited about his day rather than dreading what the day will bring. Watch this video and let Jack inspire you to have a career which brings excitement to your life!
